The views are unrivalled; you can see Beaumaris, the Menai Straits and the Snowdonia Mountain range from one side, the Irish Sea, Puffin Island, the Great Orme and the Isle of Man from the other side as well as all the surrounding countryside.

With it’s spectacular location and superb facilities, it really is a perfect place to spend every season as well as that special Christmas and New Year.

What could be more relaxing than sitting in the living room on the top floor or out on the patio and enjoying the stunning sunsets.

This is harmony and peace as it should be and the quality mattresses and bed linen along with the sea air, all contribute towards a good nights sleep.

History
The Windmill was built in 1741 and is a Listed Historical Building. It’s been restored with great care and thought and whilst retaining it’s character, it offers luxury accommodation. The renovation work was finally completed in May 2007.

Locality
Just a 10-minute walk away is the stunning White Beach cove, perfect for swimming, fishing, beach barbeques and sun bathing. The medieval castle town of Beaumaris is just. 3 1⁄2 miles by road. Around the bay and just a few miles away is the Llandonna end of Red Wharf Bay, a seven-mile long sandy beach that stretches all the way to Benllech and has a European Blue Flag Award, perfect for all beach activities and horse riding.

Beaumaris
In Beaumaris you have golf, sailing and the annual Regatta of The Royal Anglesey Yacht Club, music festivals and much more. The Snowdonia National Park is close by so you can have whatever holiday you desire.

Proximity to The Cottage
The Windmill is just a 5-minute walk from The Cottage or 5 minutes by car. In fact you can see The Cottage and White Beach Farm from The Windmill.

Bookings
You book online and the prices and dates available are clearly shown and up to date. 3 or 4-day breaks are available or why not go for the 7 or 14 night holiday and receive a 20% discount off the daily rate.

You could even decide to stay at The Windmill and then The Cottage and receive a 10% discount on both bookings (minimum 7 nights in total)

Access the ‘planning your stay’ pages and you’ll be able to find out about; what you won’t need to bring with because it’s already there, pre-ordering your grocery shopping, local shopping, what to do on the day of your arrival, and so on.

In-House Tourist Information
We have comprehensive information, which covers most activities available on the Island from Course and Sea Fishing, Golf, Sailing, watersports and horse riding. The costal path walks, cycle rides and circular walks all have comprehensive maps and routes. We also have information on lots of things to do whether it’s historical, funs with the kids, eating out or just a take-away.

Access to The Windmill
Access by car is along a newly laid gravel track with 4 gates at various points but once there, well it’s just simply wow!

  • Kitchen – Situated in the new extension on the ground floor comprising oven, hob, dishwasher, built in fridge/freezer, espresso/cappuccino machine, crockery, utensils, pots & pans, built in washer dryer
  • Bathroom – situated in the new extension on the ground floor comprising luxury bathroom with wc. wash hand basin, bath and shower with heated slate floors
  • Ground Floor- Breakfast/Dining Room – the glass dining table is built around the central spindle that operated the grindstone from the sails with a slate floor.
  • First Floor bedroom – oak floors double bed, wardrobe and drawers, 26” flat screen TV and Sky
  • Second Floor Bedroom - oak floors double bed, wardrobe and drawers
  • Top Floor Living Room – oak floors, fabulous panoramic views together with 37” Plasma flat screen, DVD player, Sky TV, wireless broadband, and quality sofas brings contemporary sophistication to a room which, well you just won’t want to leave, day or night!

Accommodation Restrictions
The Windmill is available 365 days a year, sleeps 4 and is non-smoking.

The accommodation is on 4 floors and the stairs are steep and narrow. The Windmill is very stylish and luxurious. However, this holiday is about life in a converted windmill that is 266 years old, so don’t expect the same living and accommodation space found in more conventional properties.

The Windmill is not suitable accommodation for babies, young children and those who would find 4 flights of stairs difficult to cope with. The bedrooms are open plan, so they may not be suitable for some families or couples.

A dog is welcome but only under strict rules of supervision (see Terms & Conditions).
