We are blessed with some of the best walking in Anglesey with a multitude of public footpaths to choose from through fields, trees and nature reserves, in undoubtedly the most beautiful area of Anglesey. We’re on the ‘Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path’ and there are miles of different beaches all within a 30 minute walk, not forgetting it’s only a short walk down to White Beach Cove and the National Trust area of Fedw Fawr, the cliffs of which support the only colony of Black Guillemots in the whole of Wales and is an area of Special Scientific Interest. Ordnance Survey maps and books on flowers, birds and the seashore are in The Tower for you.

For those wanting to experience the Snowdonia National Park, it’s only a 25 minute drive to Llanberis, where you can walk up Mount Snowdon or catch the train to the Cafe and visitors centre at the top.

In-House Tourist Information

We have comprehensive Information, which covers most activities available on the Island from coarse and sea fishing, golf, sailing, watersports, horse riding and much more. The coastal path walks, cycle rides and circular walks all have comprehensive maps and routes. We also have information on lots of things to do whether it’s historical, fun with the kids, eating out or just a take-away.

The Tower dates back to the 15th century and was part of the estate owned by the church that included Penmon Priory and the 12th century church that was on Puffin Island. An extensive refurbishment has recently been carried out with meticulous attention to detail and an aim to preserve the original character of the building. The adjacent manor house (Penmarian Mawr) was originally the farm house and also used by the monks. The Tower has been available for self catering accommodation since May 2016.

Accommodation Restrictions

The Tower is available 365 days a year, sleeps 2 and is non-smoking. A dog is welcome but only under strict rules of supervision (see Terms & Conditions). The Tower is set in the private grounds of the stunning Penmarian Mawr manor house. Guests staying at The Tower have exclusive access and use of the Private Pool, Sauna, Gym and Hot Tub Spa between 12 noon until 8pm. The Tower has its own patio courtyard within the walled garden, and private access to the Costal Footpath. Parking is available with easy access through the Manor's walled garden into the Tower's private courtyard. For a couple seeking a more reclusive break, we recommend The Windmill or The Cottage.
